Our Journey and Achievements

Durga Foundation began its inspiring journey on February 21, 2010, with a vision to empower rural communities through education, skill development, and career counseling. What started as a small initiative in Belwa, Semara Hardo, Kushinagar, has now grown into a movement that has transformed thousands of lives.

Over the past 15 years, we have broken barriers, created opportunities, and fostered digital literacy, ensuring that underprivileged students and women have access to the resources they need to build a better future.

Our Milestones

2010–2015: Laying the Foundation

2016–2018: Establishing the Dr. Kalam Community & Skills Development Center 

Built the Dr. Kalam Community & Skills Development Center,  featuring:  A library  A computer lab 

Basketball,  volleyball,  and badminton courts  An open gym 

The center became a hub for digital literacy,  youth skill development, and community engagement. 

Conducted free English-speaking and digital literacy classes for students. 

2019–2022: Virtual Learning and Digital Expansion

Shifted to virtual learning during COVID-19 to ensure uninterrupted education. 

Established libraries in over 20 schools across Kushinagar, promoting a reading culture. 

Expanded the E-literacy program, impacting over 25,000 students in multiple schools.

2023–2025: Bridging the Digital Divide

Introduced advanced digital courses in coding, UI/UX design, graphic design, digital marketing, and content writing. 

Empowered women by providing work-from-home opportunities with sewing machines and digital tools. 

Expanded sports and recreation programs at the Dr. Kalam Community Center to enhance physical and mental well-being.

Our Mission Moving Forward

Durga Foundation is committed to expanding digital literacy, skill development, and career guidance. Our goal is to reach 50,000 students by 2030, equipping them with the skills and confidence to achieve their dreams.
